Live from the “Calendar of the Soul” – our version of a “Monday Quote”, written by Dr. Rudolf Steiner for this very week, one hundred years ago. He inspired the life and the work of Dr. Rudolf Hauschka, but also the ideas of Demeter organic farming and Waldorf education. Even today, here at Dr. Hauschka many of us are still inspired by his words. Have a wonderful week, going your own way with verse no.37: ‘Zu tragen Geisteslicht in Weltenwinternacht Erstrebet selig meines Herzens Trieb, Dass leuchtend Seelenkeime In Weltengründen wurzeln, Und Gotteswort im Sinnesdunkel Verklärend alles Sein durchtönt.’ #drhauschkalive
Live from our medicinal herb garden – with a post from one of our green co-workers. We are awfully sorry but there is no other post today as it is Sunday and nobody is working at the Dr. Hauschka head office... except for the plants, of course. In fact, they work hard here every single day, whatever the weather. Have a beautiful and sunny Sunday, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing – or not doing.
Live from our estheticians - with the weekend coming, it's time for Dr. Hauschka's Friday beauty treat. A true classic never goes out of style. Rose Day Cream was one of the products with which Elisabeth Sigmund and Dr. Rudolf Hauschka founded their natural cosmetics rebellion in 1967. Precious extracts of rose petals and wild rose hips nurture and balance the skin. Shea butter, rose petal wax and avocado oil protect and help retain moisture. Extracts of marshmallow and St. John’s wort soothe redness, hydrate and fortify. Enjoy.
Live from Berlin - the days we got. Let's cherish and savour them. If that means going for a surprise trip to LA like Ariane in this video - do it. And most importantly: Enjoy.
Live from our medicinal herb garden - the cold season is when we harvest the tormentil (potentilla). Isn’t it ironic, that the rootstock of the tormentil seems to bleed when cut into, while this medicinal plant is being regarded as having healing styptic powers. It is astringent, firming and structure-giving in the case of inflammatory conditions where the natural processes have gotten out of hand. Tormentil deals with the inflammation as though with a partner with equal rights. Rather than supressing it, the anti-inflammatory rootstock extract simply curbs it. This is because acute inflammation can mark the escape from a stagnant chronic process and is therefore not necessarily a bad thing. Tormentil channels this acute phase so that the inflammation can lead to healing. It is used in these Dr. Hauschka Med products: Acute Care Potentilla Sage Mouthwash
Live from our medicinal herb garden - meet Nele. She is one of the furry co-workers in our garden and she is an expert in looking out for mice. In her free time she likes to roam around the beds and lay out in the sun.
