The root of the marsh mallow is particularly rich in mucilage. It soothes the skin, gives it moisture and makes it soft and supple. Charlemagne encouraged the growing of marsh mallow in small gardens on farms on account of its beneficial effect.
Red Clover
Red clover is particularly rich in isoflavones. These protect the red clover against predators, but they also help skin prone to premature ageing.
